Weddings in 2020
Well, what can I say? A very disappointing and sad year for anyone getting married in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit worldwide. Most of my Brides this year had to cancel or postpone their weddings, so it’s been a pretty quiet year for me too. When the UK locked down in March. I put my talent to use making scrubs for the Lister Hospital, Stevenage and hospital gowns for the Bristol Royal Infirmary. This lovely Nurse is modelling one of the scrub tops I made for the Keech Hospice, Paedeatric department. For now my business seems to have changed from making wedding dresses to masks! (scroll down for masks…) Although I’ve missed the Brides, this year has been my year for Charity work. I was honoured to receive a Hero of Hertfordshire certificate but I’m just proud I was able to help the real Heroes who are looking after our health.
Dress fittings in 2020
and Covid-19 update
New safety measures have been put in place but for the foreseeable future, I am taking on limited new clients due to the close contact involved with dress fittings. I have strict rules that have to be adhered to during fittings and consultations are not necessarily held in person. I am doing the odd Wedding dress fitting if the wedding is going ahead, fully dressed in PPE… mask, face visor and I even made myself some scrubs to wear! Please email me to discuss your requirements and together we can work out how to go forward, keeping everyone as safe as possible.………………………………………………………………
